Main LevelGrand Hall, Library, Barbershop, Silver Vault, Atelier & Co. The twenty foot long Grand Hall table is made of long leaf yellow pine can be set with three library lamps. The Grand Hall table can be expanded to 36 feet to seat 34 people. Additional round tables can be added to seat a total of 74 in the Grand Hall and Entry Foyer. The Grand Hall table set with silver chargers, Riedel stemware, and Gorham Strasbourg sterling silver cutlery. After cleaning, each Riedel glass is hand polished and inspected under candlelight before being placed in the silver vault. With over 100 sets of Gorham Strasbourg sterling cutlery, multiple courses can be accommodated. Alpacas make regular appearances at the Roosevelt Library. Only hand-rolled 100% beeswax candles are used. With the exception of two Waterford crystal candelabra, all of the candelabra are silver. Several commercials and one movie have been filmed at the Roosevelt Library. Sometimes, a staff lineup is held at the conclusion of dinner to thank the staff. Without the extensions, the Grand Hall table is 20 feet by 55 inches and can seat up to 20. Musical programs are held on a regular basis. Musicians have said that the acoustics are exceptional. Christmas dinner at the Roosevelt Library is magical with many candles and a fire in the fireplace. The Grand Hall table has been removed several times to make room for fashion shows, dining using circular tables, and fencing competitions. Roses in alabaster urns are the signature arrangement for the Grand Hall table. Ice sculptures are often featured on the Entry Hall table. The Swiss decanting mechanism can decant Nebuchadnezzar size bottles that are equal to 15 liters or 20 standard bottles. The Library features 10 foot tall mahogany bookcases filled with books and artifacts. An evening at the Roosevelt Library is like stepping back in time. The Library room is perfect for a small band since it has a grand Steinway piano. The old time Barbershop has been converted to a dining room with lounge seating but it is still called the Barbershop. Silver candelabra with beeswax candles highlight the Grand Hall table. The Grand Hall is adorned with fine hardware from around the world. The massive working fireplace is graced with the portrait of Joseph Deutz. The tray tables on either side of the fireplace are filled with photographs and art. Information plaques tell the history and context of the art and artifacts in the building. A model of the Titanic sits on a fine Napoleon III chest near the fireplace. Army uniforms provided by Leland M. Stone emphasizes that San Antonio is "Military City USA". The Grand Hall table is perfect for flower arrangements and candles. The alpacas are always a showstopper. The silver candelabra are regularly polished to maintain their brilliant luster. Fencing competitions at the Roosevelt Library are elegant and thrilling. For private events, the dress code is determined by the person hosting the event. All of the electric lights int he building are dimmable to create the perfect mood. The Roosevelt Library has seen many wedding ceremonies. The Library room has a spotlight that can be aimed at the performers for dramatic effect. The Roosevelt Library Social Club was founded by Leland Stone who's portrait hangs above the Founder's Table.
