Weddings & Wedding Receptions
The historic Roosevelt Library, built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, is a uniquely elegant space that regularly hosts private events. The building has an interesting history as it was formerly the Roosevelt Park Branch Library from 1929 to 1968. It was one of two libraries built after San Antonio’s downtown Carnegie library was demolished after it flooded in 1921. The building was named after Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt who trained with the Rough Riders near the site.
The former library was renovated in 2013 to preserve it’s interesting and charming features, such as the large working fireplace and hand painted wood beams in the entry foyer, while updating the building with a renowned chef’s kitchen, lounge, gallery, wine cellar, and billiard room making it a delightful venue to explore. The charming space is complimented by delicious food prepared by the Roosevelt Library’s chef or catered by by an outside vendors. They Grand Hall features fifteen high foot ceilings and, at 36’ long, one of San Antonio’s longest dining tables which comfortably seats 34. The Grand Hall and entry foyer can accommodate seating for up to 80. The total indoor capacity using both floors is 300.

“Thank you for all that you did to make our dream reception come to life. From the moment we walked into Roosevelt Library, we immediately knew we wanted to have our reception there. You truly went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. From the table settings to the wine offerings to ensuring the temperature of the food was just right. Your dedication and care helped create a masterpiece that was not only beautiful, but perfectly aligned with our vision. We could not have asked for a more seamless and memorable experience and it’s all thanks to your exceptional efforts and we cannot wait to see how it all comes together. You and the Roosevelt Library will always hold a special place in our hearts.”

“The wedding blew our expectations away! It was beautiful, elegant but not too serious or stuffy. Everyone had a blast including the zoom attendees.”
“We can’t thank you enough for our special day. Everything went perfect and as always you were a very gracious host. We will continue to recommend your fantastic facility to friends and families for all occasions.”
“Your Roosevelt Library is, by far, the most extraordinary venue I have ever experienced. Kelly’s wedding reception was definitely a LEGACY EVENT: EPIC CELEBRATION! So glad they chose you to make it happen!”
“Leland, Paul and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Sunday flawless. All we heard from our friends and family were compliments about the venue, the food, and the friendly staff. Our friends and family truly relaxed and enjoyed themselves the entire night! Providing an environment where everyone could truly unwind and celebrate was probably the best part of Sunday.
You were not lying when you said it would be a memorable night for everyone, it was that and more! Over and over we heard “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been to,” and we know it was thanks to your attentiveness, dedication and knowledge on everything party related.
Thank you for the extra touches you added, they did not go unnoticed!! Our hearts are still so incredibly full from Sunday and again nothing could have been better!
If you could let me know where we can leave a review it would be our pleasure to share our incredible experience getting to know you, working together, and just having you exceed all of our expectations time and time again.
Thank you again Leland! We look forward to staying in touch and hearing more from our friends and family about the most epic wedding party! Even the dinner rolls were a topic friends enthusiastically talked about!!
With so much gratitude,”
